Worship Artist Michael Sanchez

Before winning over fans and the judges on Season 11 of The Voice, Michael spent nearly two decades developing his unique sound. Born and raised in San Diego, Michael began singing just after he learned to walk. By the time he was in high school, Michael was a budding piano player and his band was playing at various hot spots around the city. When the group disbanded, Michael struck out on his own, developing his signature style as a frequent headliner at high-end restaurants and piano bars across Southern California.
Michael joined The Voice on season 11 as part of Alicia Keys’ team, where he won a memorable battle round that left all four judges on their feet. After his increased exposure from The Voice, Michael joined the staff at Shadow Mountain Community Church where he currently leads thousands of congregants in worship every week.
Over the years Michael has traveled across the world as a featured vocalist, and has performed on one occasion at the legendary Carnegie Hall. He is happily married to his college sweetheart and is the father of two adorable boys—his biggest fans.
Michael currently leads at Shadow Mountain every weekend and is often featured on the television program Turning Point with David Jeremiah. He has two CD releases titled HYMNS and WINTER you can find on iTunes and Spotify.
