Alistair Begg Portrait

Alistair Begg has been the Senior Pastor of Cleveland, Ohio’s Parkside Church for 36 years and has been in pastoral ministry since 1975. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, his distinctive Scottish accent is the voice behind Truth for Life Christian radio, a ministry which broadcasts his sermons daily across the US.

Begg attended Trent University and London School  of Theology, after which he served eight years  in Scotland at Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh and Hamilton Baptist Church in Lanarkshire. Later, Begg attended Westminster Seminary and claims among his influences famed missionary Jim Elliot, 19th century pastor and author Charles Haddon Spurgeon, and renowned missionary to China Hudson Taylor.

In addition to serving in ongoing pastoral duties and continuing his radio ministries, Alistair Begg has written several books including The Hand of God, On Being a Pastor, and PRAY BIG: Learn to Pray Like an Apostle.

Alistair and his wife, Susan, were married in 1975. They have three grown children and seven grandchildren.
